Inspirations

Sadayu is a fragrance inspired by a heroic figure from the epic Ramakien, the Thai version of the Ramayana. Son of King Garuda, Sadayu is a majestic emerald bird, capable of taming the winds, possessing formidable strength but above all unwavering loyalty. When he confronts Ravana to save Sita, he fights bravely, but it is his absolute sincerity that will cause his downfall. Mortally wounded, he nevertheless delivers precious news to Rama, a symbol of loyalty until his last breath.

This fragrance captures the momentum of this legend with a modern fougère composition that is at once airy, green, and spiritual. The opening is lively, carried by the minty freshness of spearmint and the zesty light of bergamot, evoking the pure wind lifted by the wings of the great bird. The heart reveals a unique accord centered around holy basil, an ingredient revered for its protective properties, and myrrh, warm and resinous, which infuses the fragrance with a spiritual and enveloping dimension.

In the base, ambroxan extends the fragrance's breath with softness and clarity, while coumarin adds a velvety caress, reminiscent of dried herbs and the serenity of a high-altitude sky. Together, these notes create an elegant and vibrant structure, somewhere between vegetal freshness and noble warmth.

Sadayu is a tribute to sincere heroism, uncompromising righteousness, and the beauty of a flight guided by courage. It is a fragrance for those who move forward with integrity, carried by a gentle but indomitable force.
