We are in the Moon Valley, a mystical and strange landscape nestled in the north of Chile. Here, the vibrant heat of the red earth mixes with the alcoholic scents of the Pisco sour, that typical South American cocktail, and the bitter notes of coca leaves – the same leaves that indigenous people chew to find the energy they need to face the altitude of the Andean plateau.
This region, steeped in mystery, is the scene of paranormal phenomena as varied as they are intriguing. It is called WEON, an ancient word of indigenous origin, today widespread throughout Chile, which means "friendship" and recalls the affection of a "compà" in southern Italy.
Weon is a tribute to the spiritual mysteries of a unique place, which evokes powerful emotional shocks. The subsoil of the Atacama Desert, rich in lithium – a mood-stabilizing mineral used in medicine – gives this place a special atmosphere. In this desert sky, strange lights and shapes often appear, moving quickly in space. This desert also houses an area where the “sounds of the universe” are captured through phono-receptive antennas, in search of the primordial sound of the Big Bang – or perhaps other mysteries still unknown.
