Pangea by Extra Virgo is a fragrance that pays homage to Earth's first supercontinent, an ode to the unity and ancestral mysteries of nature. Inspired by the earth's elements, this fragrance evokes the strength and richness of roots, leaves and rhizomes, embodying the timeless power of the soil.

Pangea's composition blends the elegance of artisanally cultivated Florentine iris root with the rare and deep notes of mushrooms such as porcini, shiitake and truffle. This unique accord recalls the golden age of perfumery while infusing it with a modern and bold character. Enhanced by royal black incense resinoid from Oman and aged Siamese benzoin, this fragrance reveals a dark and captivating olfactory richness.

Each bottle of Pangea is designed in a limited series, using only high-quality natural ingredients. Aged for several months, the juice is then bottled by hand in Italian crystal bottles, decorated with a black Carrara marble stopper with the golden monogram of Extra Virgo. Pangea is an invitation to a sensory journey to an ancient and mystical past, revealing the depth and beauty of the Earth's elements.
The perfumer: Alex Postiglione

Prince Alex of Limbin, creator of the perfume house Extra Virgo, draws his inspiration from his Burmese royal origins and his fascinating family heritage. Heir to the Konbaung dynasty, descendant of the last king of Burma, King Mindon, and grandson of Princess Yadana Nat Mai, goddess of the Nine Jewels, Prince Alex embodies a unique heritage that he transposes into the art of perfumery.

Born in Florence and trained in art history, Prince Alex developed a sophisticated sensory approach that he applies to each creation. Based at the Montecucchi Castle in Tuscany, he imagines fragrances in small series, using exceptional ingredients to explore the contrasts between the sacred and the profane. Under his direction, Extra Virgo is distinguished by a search for authenticity and quality, combining tradition and modernity.

Thanks to his singular vision, Extra Virgo has received international recognition, notably with the nomination of Animal Café for the Art and Olfaction Awards 2023, testifying to Prince Alex's commitment to offering olfactory creations that combine historical depth and artistic innovation.
