Inspirations

This project was born from a crush and a great faith. The Diamonitirion is the name of the visa that must be passed on Mount Athos, that is why I called it the Gate of another world, the forbidden world or the Land of the Mother of God. The chosen shape is not accidental, it represents the shape of an old cross of a country church, of a mountain village found during my walks in rural areas. The shape of the crosses that adorn the cap and the box is also a very old Romanian folk motif, found in the countryside. The design of the wooden and leather box is inspired by vintage travel trunks.

The perfumer: Jean Festa

Born in Naples in 1964, Giovanni Festa discovered an entrepreneurial vocation at a young age. In 1990, he founded da_Galeno Officine Cosmetiche srl, the first cosmetics industry in Naples, the capital of Campania. The company quickly asserted its international ambitions: less than three years after its creation, it wove a solid export network linking India to the United States.

In 2009, the inauguration of a new plant in the ASI industrial area of Nola marked a decisive turning point. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies, the plant focused its efforts on innovation, research and development, in collaboration with universities and specialized institutes. The impeccable quality of the raw materials and the ethical sustainability of the processes quickly propelled Galeno among the leaders of avant-garde cosmetics, in Italy and internationally.

A Passion for Rare Essences
Alongside his success in the cosmetics world, Giovanni Festa developed a fascination for the world of perfumes. His many travels, encouraged by his export activities, nourished his olfactory imagination. He brought back treasures: precious natural essences and oils, such as vetiver, patchouli or even more daring accords such as papyrus, leather, or salinity evoking Mediterranean landscapes.

These experiences led in 2017 to the creation of Aulentissima, a niche perfume brand embodying Neapolitan elegance and originality. The opening of the first perfumery workshop in 2019, in Via Calabritto in Naples, inaugurates a series of expansions, with boutiques in Italy and internationally.

A Narrative Olfactory Art
The uniqueness of Giovanni Festa's perfumes lies in their narrative dimension. Each creation tells a story, inspired by travel, literature, philosophy or figurative arts. In 2018, his talent was internationally recognized with a place as a finalist at the prestigious Art and Olfaction Awards, organized by the Institute of Art and Olfaction in Los Angeles.

His collections, like chapters of books, reveal meticulously crafted olfactory registers. Between 2019 and 2020, he composed 32 unique perfumes, combining methodical rigor and limitless creativity. Each bottle invites you on an unpredictable journey, where the scents write a timeless and captivating plot.

Today, Giovanni Festa is an emblematic figure of niche perfumery, combining traditional know-how and innovation, to sublimate the art of essences and transmit emotions across time and space.
