The autumn wind blows across the golden wheat fields. As the tall grass swells, the rattle of husks beats out a soft prairie lullaby, signaling the weary sun to rest. In the fading light, tiny harvest mice venture forth, trying to gather seeds and fruit. For once the sun sinks completely below the horizon, its reign over the sky is given to another. And when the owl's cry breaks the night, the mice rush, trembling, to their nests.

Like a countryside bathed in gentle sunshine, Zoologist Harvest Mouse conjures up images of good things made at home. Wheat stalks sway between chamomile, davana and hay, and rich beer extracts are sobered by resins and woody notes. A warm nest of home-made scents.
The perfumer: Luca Maffei

Luca Maffei, an Italian perfumer, is the creator behind Atelier Fragranze Milano. Coming from a family deeply rooted in the perfume industry, he was surrounded by scents from a young age. His father, Marco Maffei, ran perfume companies such as Symrise and IFF, exposing Luca to raw materials and master perfumers.

Initially destined for a commercial career, Luca eventually followed his passion for perfume creation by going to Grasse to study under Madame Françoise Marin. After an apprenticeship with Vincent Ricord and a collaboration with Maurizio Cerizza, he gained international recognition for his fragrance Iris Magnifica, a finalist in The Scent of Excellence competition.

In 2014, Luca founded Atelier Fragranze Milano and became a member of the Société Française des Parfumeurs. With over 50 creations to his credit, he collaborates with prestigious brands such as Acca Kappa, Carthusia and Histoires de Parfums. His perfumes, such as L'Attesa and Néa, have won prestigious awards such as the Art and Olfaction Awards.

Luca Maffei stands out for his creative vision, inspired by his Italian heritage, his travels and his collaborations, which makes him a major player in the world of independent perfumery.
