Inspirations

100 años después is the fourth chapter of the Architecture Liquide collection. The fragrance translates the renovation of a century-old house, nestled in the heart of the alfalfa fields and orchards of southern Alicante, into an olfactory language.

Built a century ago and transformed over the decades, particularly in the 1940s and 1980s, the residence bears the traces of each of its eras. Its latest renovation serves as the starting point for a composition conceived like an architectural project, across three scales: the site, its environment, and the house itself.

The landscape of the Vega Baja in Alicante is first expressed through melon, fig, and citrus fruits—a luminous evocation of Mediterranean crops. Gradually, the composition draws closer to the house, moving through greener and spicier vegetation: violet leaves, coriander seeds, and jasmine outline the surrounding plants and shrubs.

Finally, the building appears. Its limestone walls and wooden framework find their echo in the deep tones of Atlas cedar and Siberian fir, accompanied by earthy nuances.

A fragrance constructed like architecture: from the landscape that surrounds it to the substance of its walls, 100 años después tells a century of history through the scents of a place.

The perfumer: Alejandro Ponsà

Alejandro Ponsà is an independent Spanish perfumer known for a rather free and instinctive approach to creation.

He does not strictly follow the classic codes of perfumery. His compositions are often rawer, with bold textures and contrasts. He seeks primarily to create a sensation or an atmosphere, rather than a perfectly "polished" perfume.

There is an experimental, almost artisanal quality to his work. He enjoys exploring raw materials as they are, without over-processing them, which results in scents that are quite lively, sometimes a bit puzzling, but always full of genuine personality.

He operates primarily within niche perfumery, working on rather exclusive projects where creative freedom takes precedence over everything else.

Woha Parfums

Woha Parfums is a unique young Spanish perfume house, born from an architecture studio rather than the traditional world of perfumery.

The brand is built on a simple yet very strong idea: translating architecture into fragrance. Their concept, called “liquid architecture,” consists of transforming real places into olfactory experiences. Each fragrance is directly linked to a specific architectural project, seeking to capture its atmosphere, materials, light, or even the emotions it evokes.

Concretely, Woha does not build its perfumes around classic olfactory families (woody, floral, etc.), but around a space. A café in a vertical garden, an industrial building, or a renovated house become perfumes in their own right.

The brand was founded by architect Antonio Maciá through his studio, World of Holistic Architecture, based on the idea that the sense of smell is an integral part of how we perceive a place, just like sight or touch.

The compositions are notably signed by Alejandro Ponsà, featuring a fairly free and artistic approach, often centered on natural materials and a true coherence with the project they “represent.”

What makes Woha interesting is that it is not just a perfume brand, but almost an artistic research project: you are not just wearing a scent, you are wearing an interpretation of a place.
