Silence holds the stories and unspoken longings of a world long gone.
I remember my beloved childhood,
My frantic races through the valley,
My bare feet in the cornfields,
Amidst the blooming alfalfa,
Through the sun-drenched orchards,
Our feet sinking into the valleyâs burning sand.
It was there that I tasted, for the first time, fruit freshly picked from the trees.
It was there that we made popcorn over a wood fire.
It was there that we raced on our old bicycles, day after day.
And today, I often wonder: where did you go, my childhood?
And where are all those who were a part of it?
The design of the cap and box is inspired by the old picture frames and mirrors made by Uncle Vanu in my childhood home in Hotaru, in the commune of Grojdibodu, in the Olt County of Romania.
Their shapes are silent witnesses to the past, a precious fragment of my heritage.
